39. Fidel Castro (90)


Love him or hate him, Castro made his mark on the world and will always have a spot in the history books.  He governed Cuba as both Prime Minister and President from 1959 to 2008.  His cause of death is still undisclosed.

40. Morley Safer (84)


Morley Safer and 60 Minutes went hand-in-hand.   His signature voice built the foundation for his 60-year career as a journalist.  He won a total of 12 Emmys during his lifetime.  After retiring from 60 Minutes, he died only 8 days later.  He spent 46 seasons on the show.
